FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Acne occurs when the oil produced by sebaceous glands does not reach the surface of the skin but is trapped in tiny pores or follicles. This plug may close off the pore, causing blackheads and whiteheads. When the bacteria and pus leak from the follicle into the surrounding tissue, pimples are formed. The most common treatments are microdermabrasions with extractions.

If cystic acne is present or acne scarring has occurred a more aggressive treatment may be needed. like a series of microdermabrasion. Many medical grade products and procedures are available to help resolve the problems of acne, but nothing better than our micro-current treatment.

Aging skin is inevitable. But there are many things we can do to help prolong and intersect the process. Products containing antioxidants, peptides, nutrients containing human growth factors and broad spectrum UVA and UVB Sunscreen are just a few which have been successfully linked to anti-aging products. Also the monthly regimen of micro-current stimulation, for non-surgical lifts, and the use of microdermabrasions helps in the continuous stimulation of new collagen growth and elastin production by your own cells.

Pigmented lesions (sometimes referred to as age spots or sun spots) on skin are caused by a proliferation of melanocytes in the skin. Melanocytes contain the cells that manufacture melanin, the dark pigment.

Pigmentation can be caused by various things.

  • Hormonal, especially on upper lip or the butterfly pigmentation which is darkening of skin over nose and cheeks area, usually post pregnancy and also referred to as pregnancy mask.
  • After burns or post traumatic pigmentation, which can be caused by mechanical (dent left after an injury by object for example) or chemical (such as chemical burns) trauma to skin.
  • Post acne spots, which sit quite deep in the skin and can sometimes take years to get rid of or for some skins acne scarring can even be permanent (this is particularly true for darker skins).
  • One of the most common causes of pigmentation is sun damage to your skin. Sun spots, also called age spots usually appear after 35-40 and cause a lot of headache to many people. Usually this is kind of a payback for the abuse that we give our skin in our teens and twenties. Skin remembers this and the stored sun exposure comes out to the surface some years later.

Most brown spots, age spots, sun spots, uneven skin tones or freckles, can be reduced or removed by the use of microdermabrasions and also the micro-current stimulation. There are many products in the market which will aid in the reduction or disappearance of these brown spots. The most critical thing you must realize is that it is imperative for you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen to reduce the factor of more damage to be done.

Skin blemishes (sometimes called broken capillaries or enlarged capillaries) which happen due to abnormal blood vessels located directly under your skin’s surface are called vascular lesions.

Rosacea is believed to be hereditary, but can worsen with exposure to various triggers including extreme temperatures, sunlight, stress and certain medications and foods. Rosacea usually appears in phases:Pre-rosacea – simple tendency to flush or blush easily.

  • Possible progression to a persistent redness in the central portion of your face, particularly your nose. This redness results from the dilation of blood vessels close to skin’s surface. This phase may sometimes be referred to as pre-rosacea.
  • Vascular rosacea – worsening of signs and symptoms. When small blood vessels on your nose and cheeks swell and become visible (telangiectasia). Skin may also become more sensitive and this can be accompanied by oily skin and dandruff.
  • Inflammatory rosacea – when small, red bumps or pustules may appear and persist, spreading across your nose, cheeks, forehead and chin.

Treatments

  • Antibiotics provide some benefit
  • Vitamin C and A – to rebuild the skin
  • Medications – to fight sebum and bacteria
  • Micro-current stimulation to reduce bacteria in the skin and improve healing

NOTE: Most rosacea sufferers rely upon wrongly covering their skin with layers of heavy makeup.

No sun exposure post peels for 2 weeks is recommended.

High SPF sun block and sun avoidance is suggested after all treatments.

Most women have some level of cellulite, which is fat that appears as dimpled skin. Cellulite ranges in severity, obviously so does treatment options. Weight loss, along with the micro-current treatment are the most successful procedures found to be available on the market right now.

Cellulite is best described as a condition of uneven deposits of fat, water, and wastes that have become trapped in connective tissues of the body just below the skin’s surface. Cellulite occurs primarily in the hips, upper thighs, abdomen, buttocks and upper arms. Studies of cellulite found the biggest contributor toward a cellulite condition was poor blood circulation. However, toxic accumulation and fluid retention are major contributing factors in the formation of cellulite. Loss of blood flow to an area, whether from lack of exercise, excessive sitting, clogged arteries, or nutrient deficiency, can have a disastrous impact on cellulite formation. According to cellulite experts, cellulite generally accumulates in areas with poor circulation, and as a result, the toxins and waste materials get more clogged and harder to remove. Anyone that has cellulite, or the dimpling of the skin on the thighs, rear end, and even the lower leg area, knows that it is a very embarrassing and unsightly condition.

Micro-current stimulaton treats cellulite and adipose tissue with electricity and specifically, is a method of selectively delivering targeted energy to each clients individual areas of concern on their bodies. The treatment shrinks the fat stores and removes the toxins beneath the surface of the skin that are the root cause of the dimpled appearance of cellulite. In addition, the Thermal Body Wrap heat penetrates deep into your clients body to start liquefying the subcutaneous fat so that it gets released via the sweat and other body elimination systems.

The Micro-currentTreatment significantly improves your blood circulation and by improving the blood flow to the target area, you can eliminate the conditions that caused Cellulite to form in the first place. In summary, when you shrink the subcutaneous stored fat cells and remove the toxins and retained fluids from beneath the skin surface, cellulite will no longer cause dimpling on the skin surface.

Everyone’s concept of deep wrinkles are different. But we can help to stimulate the collagen below in the dermis layer to stimulate growth and plumb the areas, our micro-current stimulation treatment will add volume in the deep folds and wrinkles.

Exfoliate-Moisturize-The first recommendation for someone with dry or itchy skin would be to experience the results from a microdermabrasion. This helps to exfoliate the top layers of dead skin and rejuvenate the epidermis giving it the ability to absorb those great moisturizing products you are using.

It is inevitable that we are all going to experience some fine lines and wrinkles as we get older. Some say genetics, life-style, or diet is what helps to accelerate the loss of collagen causing these to appear. We can significantly reduce these lines by using microdermabrasion followed by a non-surgical face tightening with the micro-current stimulation.

There are many products in the market to help you with protection of future damage caused by the sun and other pollutants which our skin absorbs. We carry some products we truly recommend to your daily use.

LEDs are light sources releasing energy in the form of photons. They release long wavelengths of light that stimulate cells to aid in healing. Light therapy is also known as photo-therapy and consists of exposure to light waves. It is considered effective for various skin disorders.

The scientific research behind LED LIGHT For Beauty Care reveals that light energy at specific frequencies can actually stimulate physiological functions of the skin, and low-energy light technology like LED (Light Emitting Diodes) can also deliver sufficient energy to stimulate a response from the skin to heal damaged cells. It is commonly known that the red light is particularly effective with inflammation and anti-aging.

The RED LED technology was discovered by NASA and is characterized by infrared rays which have a stronger wavelength than normal sources of lights.

Through numerous studies and years of use of red light technology it had scientifically proven anti-aging and healing with no adverse side effects, non-invasive and completely painless, thus it’s considered effective for improvement of the superficial cosmetic conditions.

This property of infra red rays allows it to penetrate deep into the skin, thereby providing many therapeutic benefits. When directed at the skin, it helps greatly in improving skin appearance, as well as relief from pains. Recent researches have shown that red light therapy can reduce wrinkles, sun damage and skin problems.
